Filming Project
In the initial project, we were making a public service announcement to sea world about orca whales. Though this topic was interesting, it was not something I was particularly interested in. In the middle of the project the rubric was changed and I redid mine as a commercial instead. We still had all the basic shots of film, full body, mid, closeup, and extreme close up. It was just a more interesting topic to me personally. If I did it again, the only thing I would change is making the transitions between shots better. It was a good project, and it was fun and educational.
In this project I was in a group of three people and we filmed a purposefully terrible infomercial.

Teacher Creature Project
The first step I took during this project was to photoshop the background. I used four pictures to make it up. The main one which was a picture of the north pole, an extra person, the sky, and an iceberg. I erased the sky from the main picture and added a new layer of another sky behind it. then I cropped out a person and placed it on the ground of the main layer, along with doing the same with an iceberg. After completing the background I started on the animal, a mixed polar bear unicorn butterfly. I cropped the horn and placed it onto the bears head, then copied pieces of the fur and pasted them over the horn to make it look realistic. I did the same with the wings, and then changed the opacity and lightness to make it look like it fits in the picture more. The next step was to add the face. I took a picture of Jake and cropped his eyes and pasted them over the eyes of the polar bear. I did the same with the mouth and it was done.
The hardest part of the project, for me, was the mouth of the person. I figuring out how to fit it onto the polar bear, and adding the right light. It was difficult to figure out how to get the nose over top of the mouth in the right way. Over all I think it turned out pretty good, despite the hard parts.
My favorite part of the project was the background. You could just mess around on Photoshop and it would still be working. Also, you’re creating something to be proud of in the long run. Another reason is you gain Photoshop skills that will greatly help you in the future. The entire project was great, but I’d have to say the background was the best part.
During this project, one thing I learned about myself is that I get bored of doing on thing for ling periods of time. It is very easy for me to get distracted, and as a result it is very difficult for me to get excess amounts of work done at one time. Though it was difficult for me, I still got my project done on time, and was proud of the result.
